The What is That? item in the January/February contest was a cigarette lighter.

Once again we received lots of memories relating to this little cigarette lighter. This red one actually belonged to my mother. She often recalled my father’s aged mother and those Sunday afternoon visits when the daughter-in-laws weren’t allowed to smoke in her presence, that was the way it was in the 40s!
