Seems as if we change careers with turning points in our lives. When we got married
John, a Yadkin Valley native, was in the radio business and I was in a school library. With John's background in radio and my retirement from the classroom, we created a retail business. We found a niche with a newsletter we designed for our customers that just grew and expanded over time into what is now Yadkin Valley Living Magazine, a magazine like no other! YVLM is a regional lifestyle publication focusing on the Yadkin Valley and all its surroundings with editorial of high standards and values written by local writers yet homey, dear and comfortable as well as inspiring and informative.
Our cedar house and the magazine's offices are nestled on a poplar tree ridge, smack in the middle of the Norman family farm. We're not growing corn and grain anymore but a bounty of loyal readers from across the Yadkin Valley, the state and country.
YVLM continually searches for editorial to motivate and inspire our readers in sophisticated larger cities and all our small town neighbors closeby. We do it through articles on real places, real food, books, pets, kids, collections, decorating ideas, the Yadkin Valley wineries, music, artisans, heritage, festivals, gardening, health, holidays and real people, people, people!
With cutting edge photography, readers are drawn to compelling covers and want to know more about the Yadkin Valley.
